Paul Dolan’s Mackay Fly & Sportfishing Charters operates two vessels giving Paul the flexibility to function efficiently in varying fresh and saltwater situations to give you the best opportunities while you enjoy your Mackay Fishing experience.

 

Paul speaks of his vessels, “I operate two boats. One is a 4.1m Poly Craft with full casting platform and seating for 2 anglers for Freshwater Lakes and Rivers.

The second boat is a Key West 186 CC 5.74 M with a Suzuki DF 140 motor fitted with the latest electronics. It’s 12 inch or 300 mm draft gets her into shallow flats with all the stealth a fibre glass boat affords. This is a purpose built boat to fish the coastal waters of the Mackay region and she has front casting platform with room and seating for 3 anglers plus skipper.

By operating the two boats I believe it gives my clients more opportunities to target a wider range of species. From Barra, Sooty Grunter and Saratoga in the fresh to flats and open waters for a wide range of species in the salt, I can get to all of them. Best of all it allows access to fishing in all weather conditions.”
